Language Arts Activities! This website includes an outstanding assortment of "writing recipes" and "period literature analysis" which corresponds to the Civil War Dinner Party Activity in Social Studies and across the curriculum. Students will foster high level thinking skills by examining the great works of Walt Whitman, evaluating accounts of Civil War battles, and by giving oral presentations! In the process, students will build an affinity for proper grammar skills while enjoying a Whitman Sampler.
