Now that you have read the historical passage above it is time to begin the writing process.  You can start the writing process by inputting your first thoughts about the article you just read in the text box below.  Your first thoughts may include what you think the reading is about or how the reading makes you feel.

When you have entered your first thoughts in the box above, click on the "Submit Your Work" button below.  Your work will appear in the window on the right hand side of the screen.  Be sure to copy and paste your work into the word processing document before moving onto the next step of the writing process.  When you are satisfied with your work in Step #1, click on the pencil to move onto Step #2 Prewriting!
