Now that you have read the passage and entered your first thoughts, it is time for you to work on Step #2 of the writing process known as prewriting.  Prewriting helps organize your first thoughts and ideas into a simple outline form that will help you write your essay.  To complete the prewriting, list three main ideas or details about the passage.  You should refer to your first thoughts on the right hand side of the screen to help you.

Once you have completed your prewriting, click on the "Submit Your Work" button below.  Your work will appear in the window on the right hand side of the screen.  Be sure to copy and paste your work into the word processing document before moving onto the next step of the writing process.  When you are satisfied with your work in Step #2, click on the pencil to move onto Step #3 Sentence Structure!
